I have fifteen years of experience as an editorial photographer in Montreal, shooting assignments for numerous national and international newspapers and magazines. My background in photojournalism has taught me to work quickly, think creatively, and find compelling images in a wide variety of situations, often with limited time and access.

My editorial photography work has taken me into workplaces, public spaces, cultural institutions, corporate environments, sporting events, and communities across Canada and around the world. Whether photographing a person, place, event, or story, my aim is to create images that communicate something about the subject rather than simply record what was in front of the camera.

I regularly undertake assignments involving portraits, people and places, documentary photography, corporate and institutional subjects, events, and architecture. I am comfortable working to an editorial brief, collaborating with writers, editors, communications teams and art directors, or working independently to develop a visual approach to a story.

My photojournalism experience is particularly useful when an assignment involves real people and unscripted situations. I look for authentic interactions, gestures, expressions and details that help tell a story, while remaining sensitive to the environment and the people I am photographing. When a more controlled portrait or illustrative image is required, I can also work quickly on location to create photographs that fit the needs of the publication or client.

Based in Montreal, I am available for editorial photography assignments throughout Quebec and Canada, and I love to travel for work, so am also available for international assignments.
